Sisson Blanchard

Sisson Blanchard (1929-1981) was a renowned Haitian painter who was active throughout the 20th century. Blanchard was a pioneering figure  in Haitian art, known for developing a unique style that blended Haitian folk traditions with modern techniques and aesthetic approaches. His paintings are characterized by  their vibrant colors, energetic brushstrokes, and surreal abstract compositions. (HT)
