Oliver Jackson

Oliver Jackson (b. 1935) is an American artist known for his abstract expressionist paintings and sculptures. Born in Florence, Alabama, Jackson has had a prolific and influential career that has spanned over six decades. Jackson’s artistic style is characterized by bold gestural brushstrokes and a vibrant use of color, which he often applies in thick, textural layers. His works often explore themes of spirituality, identity, and the human condition, drawing inspiration from a variety of cultural and artistic traditions, including African, European, and American influences.
