Juan Logan

Juan Logan (b. 1946) is an American artist known for his multidisciplinary work that  explores issues of power, privilege, and social justice. His work spans a range of media, including  printmaking, painting, sculpture, installation, and public art. His pieces often incorporate found objects and materials, reflecting his interest in exploring the relationship between the individual and the broader social and political landscape. One of the key themes in Logan’s work is the examination of power structures and the ways in which they shape social and cultural dynamics. His pieces  frequently address issues of  race, challenging the viewer to confront their own biases. Logan’s work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States and internationally. He has  received numerous  awards including the  Guggenheim Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. In addition to his studio practice, Logan has been actively involved in community engagement and educational initiatives, working to promote social justice and foster greater understanding through the arts.
