This 90-minute presentation provides a foundation for artistic and curatorial practice. In addition to being of great benefit to artists, the presenation is designed to provide the general public with core knowledge that will be helpful as they expand their own understanding of Black art and culture.
As a Hammonds House Museum Public Program this presentation is free for members and the cost of museum admission for non-members. Members may register with the code MEMBERBENEFIT.
Recording, Archiving and Maintaining Works for Future Generations
November 29, 2017
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Auburn Avenue Research Library
101 Auburn Avenue, NE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Pellom McDaniels, III, Emory University's Curator of African American Collections and Derek Mosley, Auburn Avenue Research Library Archivist, engage in a public conversation in response to the idea that a great deal of work created by artists of color has been lost to time because of poor maintenance, planning and lack of adequate repositories for archiving and collections. How do we keep our collections in tact? How do artists ensure their work lives after they are no longer here?
As a Hammonds House Museum Public Program this presentation is free but registration is required. Please click the box below to register.
