Join us at Hammonds House Museum for an intimate performance of Shaking the Wind, written and performed by Atlanta actress Minka Wiltz, produced by Out of Hand.
Shaking The Wind refers to the feeling when the Holy Ghost takes over and the force is so powerful that atmosphere surrounding that body seems to oscillate-shake. Directed by Thomas W. Jones II, Shaking the Wind is Minka’s personal story of growing up in Atlanta. Her storytelling carries us on her journey as she comes to terms with her mother's fundamentalist street preacher ideals, her family's idiosyncrasies, and her many trials and triumphs, with humor, tears and song. This story is NOT a neat little bow of reconciliation. It’s hilarious, at times poignant, always honest and sometimes surreal. Don’t miss this intimate theater experience at Hammonds House Museum.
Tickets are $35. Members receive a 10% discount per ticket. Seating is limited.
